It probably doesn’t take much to tick my fanboy mode, but it takes a lot to just tip it a little bit off the charts. That’s why when I read something on one of the sites I regularly go to, I couldn’t help but say OH MY GLOB O.O KILL ME PLEASE AND NEVER LET ME BREATHE.
I went ballistics.
I was actually sad because a lot of people I met from when I first started blogging now seemed to have taken different directions or different positions in different companies. One of this was the announcement of Ms. Meryll Yan that she’d be shifting to a high banking position from fashion. It makes me happy because I know she’s very diverse and will do well in whatever she does, but it makes me sad because I’ll miss her very soft-spoken but very strong presence.
This was actually just today… the same day I found the pick-me-up article that sent my heart bursting into something quite unexplainable. Ready for what it had to say?
First was an announcement that one of my all-time fave shows Mega Fashion Crew is going to hit airwaves again and cause some naturally beautiful chaos through it’s new Mega caption, RELOADED! I couldn’t be happier because I know I’ll have more time soon to watch and blog about it! Two more months before I sha-la-la away from a great source of unwanted stress.
I’m pretty excited because I’ve been a supporter since season 1 (read about it here) and have met a lot of brilliant people who were products of this very show. I am also excited because a lot has changed since then. The promise of a bigger and better and an even more mega MEGA surely did not wane throughout the years. It is with this, that I am so excited to tell you guys about the second announcement.
Surely, we’ve all seen how MEGA has improved packaging since they started, having mixed Fashion TV shows, International editorial spreads, creating MEGA Man (Thank you, Sir Suki Salvador) and collaborations into the mix, but now MEGA has set its eyes on its target and it’s not about to lose sight and with that, MEGA demands that we focus in on what they are seeing as well.
Our eyes will be set on something new, something fresh, someone pretty and unique, someone with golden hair (I love G. Toengi, but no), someone with big doll eyes that never fall short of mesmerizing. Guessed it by now? Yes! Allison Harvard, the big eyed beauty and stunner is set to host the third season of MEGA Fashion Crew: Reloaded with the ever so fashionable Sir Suki Salvador!
I diiiiiie! I so love her! I even have this fantasy of shooting her for an editorial! When I’m already a pro, of course hahaha. I had visited the set before, but I sure do hope I get invited to their set once again to not only meet and greet Alli-cat, but also finally meet Ms. Sari Yap and of course, if he will again be in this season, Sir Avel Bacudio! MEGA, please invite me again! I want to see you all again and meet the new people onboard your team (not only Allison)!
Allison is definitely one of the reasons I’ll be watching! But more than that, I believe this season will be even better because of the new challenges that will await contestants. It’s also a great way to discover Filipino talent, don’t you think? The geeky stylist can be the next most coveted style star or that off-feathered photographer into the next Vogue Italia mainstay. You just don’t actually know and yet there lies the thrill
I am still very thankful for MEGA…
Ask me why!
Oh, nevermind! I’ll tell you anyways! I am thankful for MEGA because they don’t just bring out their name to just be there and stay… they’re in this industry to be remembered and I’m sure most of you will, if not all, in the near future!
I am wishing MEGA all the best and may you guys continue to prosper and inspire new people to step out of their boundaries. Your steps towards your future continues not only to inspire the fashion industry, but all industries as well. I am proud that I have gotten to know people from this show and this Magazine and I am looking forward to one day, if given a chance, be a contributor, whether a photographer (Going to take a lighting workshop for studio) or a writer! I am sure you guys will not just go far, but to infinity as well!

Last Tuesday, December 11, I was invited to attend MEGA Magazine’s Privé Style series featuring the upcoming collection of SM Ladies and SM Accessories… Twas a fun night! Wasn’t actually planning on going, but then everything fell right into place and my friends called me up and I had 10 minutes of wardrobe change and zero HMU hahaha. Anyways… Enjoy the photos.
Sari Yap, Editor-in-Chief and founder of One Mega Group…
The ever so vibrant Ms. Issa Litton hosted the event
A few words from MEGA Magazine’s Publisher and Deputy Editor, Ms. Meryll Yan…
The show started after a few moments of waiting…
I categorized them as Heavenly…
… and modern renaissance…
All in all, it was a great event. I won P1,000 GC from SM Accessories… My first time to win anything at events :) Found out at the event itself also that it was MEGA’s thanksgiving party for 2012. So, I’m glad I was able to go and thankful also for MEGA’s continued success. Such a wonderful team of people and creative minds :) Happy holidays MEGA and may you guys have an ever more prosperous year ahead :)
